The attorneys of the Commercial Enforcement Division represent most of the divisions of the Department of Commerce, including:
Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing
Division of Consumer Protection
Division of Real Estate (licenses real estate agents, brokers and appraisers)
Division of Securities (licenses the stock brokers profession in the state)
In addition, the Commercial Enforcement Division of the Attorney General’s Office enforces the antitrust laws of the state and participates in multi-state antitrust enforcement. Finally, the Commercial Enforcement Division prosecutes securities fraud, consumer fraud, and other white-collar fraud cases, both civil and criminal.
