SALT LAKE CITY (June 9, 2015) — The Utah Attorney General’s SECURE Strike Force, partnering with the Utah Dept. of Public Safety and federal, county and city law enforcement agencies, completed a 10 month investigation today culminating in the execution of 11 search warrants on businesses, three search warrants on residences and four search warrants on automobiles along the Wasatch Front. The investigation began as a result of information from an Ogden Police Dept. agent assigned to the SECURE Strike Force.
The warrants led to over a dozen women who are currently being questioned in connection with sex trafficking and an adult male, who is currently being held. Investigators believe that numerous businesses were allegedly being used as fronts for sex trafficking.
