SALT LAKE CITY—September 2, 2015—Utah Attorney General’s Office today announced it has been named as a finalist for the 2015 Utah Ethical Leadership Award in the Government category; two other nominees were also named. The Utah Ethical Leadership Award is offered to businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government entities that embody best practices in ethical behavior to recognize and honor exemplary leadership.
Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes expressed his appreciation today to the Community Foundation of Utah in partnership with the Daniels Fund and the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative at the University of Utah, David Eccles School of Business for efforts to highlight ethical leaders in Utah.
“It is an honor to lead an office with a mission to uphold the constitutions of the United States and Utah, enforce the law, provide counsel to state agencies and public officials, work with law enforcement, and protect the interests of Utah, its people, environment and resources,” said Attorney General Reyes.
“Since taking office 19 months ago, I have had the opportunity to lead an exceptional team of professionals as we have worked to return and focus the Utah Attorney General’s office on this mission,” Reyes added. “Being named a Utah Ethical Leadership Award finalist reaffirms acknowledgement that public trust is being restored.”
Award finalists will attend the September 11th awards breakfast at the David Eccles School of Business, where the winners will be announced. All award nominees were judged against Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative Principles of integrity, trust, accountability, transparency, fairness, respect, rule of law and viability.
