Internships

Join our team

The Office of the Attorney General offers college students an exciting and educational opportunity to be part of Utah’s lawmaking process. Each year, the office accepts full-time interns who have the opportunity to meet personally with legislators and be intimately involved in the lawmaking process.

The office tracks and monitors bills during the 45-day session, and interns can be part of this effort. Duties include:

  • Attending, taking notes on, and reporting on committee meetings and floor time.
  • Assisting our legislative liaisons
  • Bill and policy research
  • Tracking bills
  • Other duties as assigned

Applications for this internship open in the fall before the Legislative Session. Interested applicants may check back on this page or monitor the State Jobs website for the application.

School credit may be available for this internship. Please contact your school’s internship coordinator for more information.
