Departments
The Solicitor General oversees the Appellate Department, which handles appeals for the state. This department also defends Utah’s laws and constitution.

The Public Protection Department handles antitrust matters and represents the Utah Department of Commerce and the state of Utah in legal actions related to consumer protection and fraud.
