Antitrust & Data Privacy

Eric Lipman is an Assistant Attorney General in the Antitrust & Data Privacy Division. He joined the Office of the Utah Attorney General in July 2026, though he is not new to state antitrust enforcement, having served as an Assistant Attorney General in Texas from 2012 through 2017. In between his government roles, Eric was in-house at Uber for almost nine years, advising on antitrust litigation, M&A, and regulatory matters. He has also worked in private practice in both New York and Austin, and clerked for the Hon. P. Kevin Castel in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Eric holds leadership roles in the Antitrust Sections of both the American Bar Association (Co-Chair of the State Enforcement Committee) and the New York Bar Association (Executive Committee Member). Eric and his wife, Allison, are the proud parents of two daughters.
