The mission of the Utah Child Abduction Response Team (CART) is to create a rapid response to assist law enforcement in the recovery of abducted children or a child missing under the Endangered Missing Advisory (EMA). The CART will assist other law enforcement agencies throughout the state by providing experienced investigators and support personnel trained in child abduction response.
The contact for the Utah CART is UtahCART@agutah.gov.
The Utah CART will activate at the request of any law enforcement agency in the state of Utah. The criteria are:
An Amber Alert or
An Endangered and Missing Advisory (child only) with the approval of the Office of the Utah Attorney General’s Chief of Law Enforcement.
The Utah CART is a resource for all Utah law enforcement agencies. All Utah CART members are trained in child abduction response. The Utah CART is certified by the United States Department of Justice.
