Jorden Truman

Assistant Attorney General

Constitutional Defense and Special Litigation

Jorden Truman is an Assistant Attorney General in Constitutional Defense and Special Litigation. Before joining CDSL, he spent a year in the West Virginia Solicitor General’s Office as a fellow. In law school, he served on BYU Law Review as both an associate and senior editor, and was on the executive board of the International Center for Law and Religious Studies (ICLRS). With ICLRS, he helped run several symposiums, participated in two international moot court competitions, and discussed religious‑freedom issues with international religious leaders. He also completed a semester‑long externship with the Honorable David Nuffer, a senior federal district court judge in Utah.

Jorden earned his J.D. from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School in 2024, where he served on Law Review, and his B.A. in English from Utah Tech University in 2020.
