The Utah Trafficking in Persons Task Force (UTIP), hosted and coordinated by the Office of the Utah Attorney General, leads Utah’s statewide efforts to investigate and prosecute human trafficking while uniting a broad, multidisciplinary coalition of partners.
UTIP brings together federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies; prosecutors; the military; medical and mental health providers; community-based and system-based victim advocates; nonprofit organizations; and academic partners. Through this collaborative approach, the task force works to identify victims, dismantle trafficking networks, and hold traffickers accountable under state and federal law.
UTIP’s work is reinforced by the Statewide Enforcement to Combat Unlawful Racketeering and Exploitation (SECURE) Strike Force, which enhances coordinated enforcement efforts aimed at disrupting organized crime.
