Sandy Margulies is an Assistant Attorney General in the Natural Resources Division with practice areas in criminal law, real estate law, fiscal law, natural resources law, administrative law, wills and trusts, and legal enforcement law.
Sandy earned dual B.S. degrees in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Utah in 2011, and her J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2014. She has extensive litigation experience as a prosecutor and in administrative actions. Sandy served in the Utah Air National Guard from 2006 to 2012 as a crew chief, and has served in the Utah Army National Guard since 2017 as a Judge Advocate, currently holding the rank of Major. She has completed additional military legal education in fiscal law, litigation, contract law, and national security law, and deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve in 2022. She also served on the Summit County Zoning Board from 2022 to 2025.
