Constitution Day Statement

“As elected officials we have taken an oath to protect and uphold the U.S. Constitution – the very document that has guided our nation since its inception over 200 years ago.  And since that time, the Constitution’s unprecedented protection of individual rights has made it an inspiration and model for those around the world who embrace freedom and, in some cases, still yearn for it.

“I encourage all Utahns to take a moment today to read the short document that so drastically altered the course of world history – and reflect on how we can inspire Utah’s future generations to respect, uphold and fight for the liberties it protects.”
