Jacob D. Mortensen is an Assistant Attorney General in Civil Appeals. During law school, Jacob was an Executive Editor for the BYU Law Review. Additionally, he worked as a law clerk in the Office of the Utah Attorney General’s Litigation Division.
Jacob earned his J.D. from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School, and his B.A. magna cum laude in Landscape Architecture from Utah State University. Following law school, he clerked for the Honorable John D. Luthy of the Utah Court of Appeals.
