Kathyn White is an Assistant Attorney General in the Tax, Transit and Financial Services Division. She represents the Utah State Tax Commission in administrative and judicial proceedings. Kathryn’s cases include income tax, sales and use tax, corporate franchise tax, and other miscellaneous areas of tax. In addition, she works on Tobacco Enforcement, specifically enforcing the terms of the Master Settlement Agreement.
Kathryn received her J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. In law school she worked with the Veterans Assistance Program where she provided free legal services to veterans in need and was also the Contracts I and II teaching assistant.
Before joining the Office of the Utah Attorney General, Kathryn managed her own solo practice representing taxpayers before the IRS and Utah State Tax Commission.
