Laurie Noda

Commercial Enforcement

Laurie Noda is an Assistant Attorney General in the Commercial Enforcement Division. She has worked for the Office of the Utah Attorney General from 1991 to the present day representing several agencies within the Department of Commerce including the Division of Public Utilities, the Division of Real Estate, the Securities Division and currently represents the Division of Professional Licensing. Prior to working for the Office, she was legal counsel for the Public Service Commission.

Cases she has worked on during the course of her employment with the Office have included administrative hearings, both formal and informal, and citation hearings. She has also represented the Public Service Commission, the Division of Public Utilities, the Securities Division and the Division of Professional Licensing in cases in District Court and has written appellate briefs and has appeared before the Utah Court of Appeals and the Utah Supreme Court in several cases. She has experience in complex litigation involving utility rate regulation, securities fraud, and constitutional law and equal protection issues.

She is a current member of the Government Law Section of the Utah State Bar and was also a member and former chair of the Administrative Law Section.

Her current interests include running, travel, art and music.
