Every year, the Friday following Thanksgiving is dedicated to honoring Native Americans and celebrating their rich cultural heritage and significant impact on our nation’s past, present and future. We honor and recognize Native American’s innumerable contributions in the fields of medicine, music, art, agriculture and so much more.
This Thanksgiving weekend, we encourage you to listen to Native American voices and their heritage that has cultivated and enriched our nation and the world. Below are some examples on how you can observe Native American Heritage Day:
- Read a story about or by a Native American
- Watch a documentary about Native American heritage and history
- Participate in a virtual event honoring Native American culture
